Confirm the Equipment Specification
Start with the manufacturer's required footprint, weight and clearance guidance. Building without those specs risks a pad that does not fit or does not carry the load.
Pad Dimensions
Pads are usually poured slightly larger than the equipment footprint to leave room for anchors and service access.
Thickness
Thickness scales with equipment weight and vibration. Small mini-split condensers need less pad than a whole-house generator.
Base Preparation
A compacted, well-drained base under the pad prevents settlement that would shift equipment out of level.
Clearances and Utilities
Plan for electrical, gas, refrigerant lines and service access before the pour so nothing has to be routed through the pad afterward.
Request an Equipment Pad Estimate
Request a pad estimate or review slab services.
